In all, eleven screenings in October and another 10 in November at yacht clubs, sailing groups and theatres. Now we take a deep breath and get ready for what appears to be a busy 2024. More details to come. But here are some highlights of the fall:
Eastport Yacht Club – Annapolis, MD – Nov 19 – Thanks to organizer Heidi Frist for organizing this screening for about 50 members at Eastport. “Everyone really enjoyed it. It gave the yacht club such a good vibe afterwards with members wanting to talk about the film and sailing in general.”
Hawaii Sailing Foundation – Waikiki Yacht Club – Nov 4 – With the help of America’s Cup artist, photographer, and cinematographer Phil Uhl, the Hawaii Sailing Foundation raised close to $20,000 at an exclusive screening in Honolulu. Sailors in the crowd shared stories about Buddy and it was a great night.

Chicago Yacht Club, Oct 27 – It’s no surprise that Buddy’s story would sell out the Chicago Yacht Club fundraiser. He met his wife Gloria there and it was the home of his first run at the America’s Cup – Heart of America.
